Washington, DC. (202) 659-0215.

Since our launch in late 1995, KaBOOM! has raised more than $10 million for community playgrounds through a diverse network of corporate, foundation, association and individual donors who are passionate about community development and the need to provide children with appropriate places to play. From 1997 to 2000, our three-year LET US PLAY campaign (supported generously by The Home Depot, CNA Foundation and Target stores) led to the construction and revitalization of more than 1,000 playgrounds nationally, impacting more than 1 million children. The campaign was a commitment to "America's Promise: The Alliance for Youth" (an initiative of the Presidents Summit for America's Future).

KaBOOM! is the longest-running non-profit organization that specializes in linking communities and corporations together to build much-needed, safe and accessible playgrounds, and has helped build more playgrounds than any other service organization, making it the #1 playground facilitator of its kind.

To change the face of America's playgrounds, KaBOOM! is targeting 10 "child-rich and playground-poor" markets: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Washington, DC. To reach communities outside of these cities, the KaBOOM! Playground Pool offers organizations an opportunity to receive matching funds to initiate and support playgrounds in their communities. These playgrounds will be built with community-based organizations, local businesses and corporations, foundations, playground equipment companies, and thousands of individuals who want to take bold steps to improve the lives of our children by participating in community-building playground project.
