Money Matters for Youth: Integrating Faith and Finances

book
Everance, 2011.

Produced by {{Everance | http://www.everence.com/}}, a faith-based financial services organization and a ministry of the {{Mennonite Church USA | http://mennoniteusa.org/}}, this free, downloadable, teacher’s guide, with accompanying reproducible student pages, is offered on the {{Church of the Brethren | http://www.brethren.org/}} website. Designed for 45-minute Sunday school classes, the Bible-based stewardship curriculum offers these seven sessions: Money Matters, It All Belongs to God, Budgeting, Debt, Planning for the Future, The Standard of Giving, and Enough is Enough. Christian youth leaders of any denomination will likely find many, if not all, of the sessions adaptable for their junior or senior high group. One caveat: the budget/spending plan handout for Session 3 is designed for adults. It seems a missed opportunity not to provide a format targeting youth finances, especially expenses: clothes, phone, gifts, entertainment, and the like.
