Restoring the Soul, 2011. Accessed April 14, 2017.

What does it mean to be Christian? While we can expect various responses to that question, one common and likely suggestion is to be a servant. This study guide, developed by Restoring Your Soul, a not-for-profit community partnership liaison in Boulder, Colorado, will provide a uniquely engaging process of considering what it means to be a Christ-like servant and how to develop a life of service. Drawing from some of the most passionate authors and speakers on this topic-leaders like Bill Hybels, Marlene Wilson, and Dennis Campbell-this curriculum incorporates biblical texts and real life stories, along with discussion and further study opportunities that take service from idea to action. It provides instructions on an activity called a “First Serve” designed to help participants learn who they are and what they are passionate about through a service project. Also included is an outstanding list of questions to consider as individuals reflect on service experiences and what they learned through them. This study guide is an excellent process for a small groups in a local church who want to learn together what it means to serve in the way of Christ.
