The Episcopal Network for Stewardship (TENS) names its own purpose as “inspiring generosity and faithful discipleship.” TENS provides training for clergy, seminarians, lay leaders, and congregations, and focuses on both theology and stewardship practices. They address annual giving, capital campaigns, designated giving, and also provide mentoring and leadership development resources for generosity and stewardship education. Complete stewardship campaign materials are available to members of the network - membership can be obtained at the individual, parish or diocesan level, with variable fees depending upon the size of a worshipping community. Many resources are also available free of charge, giving any congregation the opportunity to preview the value of the network’s resources. Additionally, the network sponsors an annual conference on stewardship with widely-recognized speakers. While this network is dedicated specifically to stewardship in Episcopal Church communities, many resources, including membership, would be available to others. Consult with your own denominational body for resources specific to your tradition.
