You Lost Me: Why Young Christians are Leaving the Church and Rethinking Faith

web resource
Accessed June 26, 2017.

Even before they hit Junior High, Christian young people are on a trajectory to leave congregational life. What’s a congregation to do? This interview with the author of a ground breaking study and the book upon which it is based highlights three components of youth and young adult ministry that are most likely to keep them engaged through high school and beyond. The three components are Relationship, Vocation, and Revelation. Young people are more likely to find a lifelong faith and remain connected with a congregation if they 1) Experience loving relationships, 2) Gain a sense of Divine calling, and 3) Learn to appreciate Scripture and Spirit as means by which God is made known. Resources for going deeper, including the book mentioned above and a You Lost Me discussion guide are available at the {{publisher's website | http://bakerpublishinggroup.com/search?terms=You+lost+me%3A+why+young+christians}}.
