“Racial justice is part of God’s justice. Racial justice advocacy is a journey filled with God’s grace.” So begins this guide to engaging in some of the most difficult and important conversations of our time. The eleven-page presentation is not so much a study as a companion on an ongoing journey of reflection and action. It presents a process and tools for getting started, for going deeper, for acting, and starting again. Among the helps it offers is “9 Healthy Ways to have a Conversation” a stand-alone resource on facilitation. It even has a language glossary. “Helpful Conversations” doesn’t prescribe answers or actions; it creates opportunities for reflection and action that make transformation possible. The free download is produced by the Women of the ELCA, historic mission partners of the Lutheran Church.
