Produced for congregations, districts, and conferences of the United Methodist denomination, Pentecost Journey is aimed at helping churches become more intentional with outreach to Hispanic/Latino cultures. Using the guiding principal of Jesus’ mandate to make disciples of all nations, this comprehensive program introduces boards, committees, leaders, and members to issues related to developing ministries with Hispanics/Latinos, challenges groups to honor the uniqueness of the culture, and guides them to develop a comprehensive ministry in the intercultural-context of Hispanic/Latino ministries in the United States. The resource contains three 120 minute workshop planning sessions; PowerPoint presentations to use in workshops; worksheets and supplemental sheets; videos with stories and testimonials from Hispanics/Latinos; complete text of the original book, Pentecost Journey; Leader’s Guide; and list of suggested resources. Widely used by a variety of faith traditions, involvement in this process will enrich the church by bringing races and cultures together as one body in Christ.
