Congregational Resource Guide
Finding the right resources for your congregation
The Church of the Nazarene provides many resources for congregational stewardship activities, from models for teaching all age groups, to comprehensive themed kits for annual campaigns and sermon series, available for download free of charge. Themes include “The Cycle of Victorious Giving,” “Lordship Living,” and “The Generosity Factor,” among others. Additionally, several bible studies and books from Nazarene Publishing House are recommended on themes related to “whole life” stewardship, and tithing, which would work well for small group or Sunday school studies. The national denomination also offers a “School of Stewardship” training, which districts of the church can make available to congregational leaders, covering the full range of financial and stewardship activities, from budgeting to audits. Training for capital campaigns and personal finance ministries is also available for congregations preparing to undertake those aspects of stewardship ministry. While these resources are written from a Nazarene perspective, they could easily be integrated in other contexts, particularly by those in a Wesleyan or holiness tradition.
