Many denominations host websites which contain helpful tools for church renewal. The Church of the Nazarene hosts this user-friendly and comprehensive page titled, “Vibrant Church Renewal.” It identifies collections of helpful articles, books, opportunities to connect with others, sermons, new-believers curriculum, and tools. There are also opportunities identified as training modules for evangelism and leadership. These modules contain dozens of curriculum resources to aid in training in evangelism, leadership and congregational life. The “tools” section offers various surveys to help a congregation identify its readiness and need for church renewal. These include: an exploring evangelism questionnaire, outreach strategy question, a ministry task force template, a Nazarene missional church survey, and a personal ministry survey to help participants identify their interests and talents for ministry opportunities. Of special interest is an entire leadership module exploring the revitalization of the Sunday school. This comprehensive site could be most helpful to congregations of both conservative and mainline traditions.
