Description
This organization helps Christian clergy and lay leaders develop skills as peacemakers and make peacemaking the foundation of their work, reflecting the importance of peacemaking in Christian teaching. Global Immersion defines peacemaking as the repair and restoration of relationships, not just the absence of conflict. A four-part framework helps leaders acquire the knowledge needed to become peacemakers.
To teach peacemaking, Global Immersion offers resources and immersive formation (training). Options for more in-depth learning include the book Mending Divides: Creative Love in a Conflicted World by cofounders Jon Huckins and Jer Swigart. Training options include the Journey of Hope leadership cohort, a six-month program that includes online sessions, peer-group sessions, one-on-one coaching, a five-day immersive learning experience, and a community of cohort graduates to provide peer support.
