As one of the United Methodist Church’s Discipleship Ministries, the Family Ministry web site announces and provides resources and training to support faith formation in families. Included on the site are the full texts of articles on a variety of topics, a list of family-related United Methodist meetings and events, links to other web sites for parents, and a newsletter. The “resources” section provides short annotations on books, periodicals, Spanish-language resources, and free materials—almost all with live links to help the user obtain the resources. In the "featured resource" section there’s an in-depth annotation on a book or other resource that may be of special interest (for example, a book on how couples cope with adversity). While this site will be especially valuable for members of the United Methodist Church, congregations of any denomination who wish to enlarge and enrich their collection of family life resources may benefit.
