Gifts In Kind

web resource

'Gifts In Kind' was developed in 1983 by 3M to manage and design a donation process by which Fortune 500 companies can make donations to non-profits. Since most large corporations cannot handle the minutiae of finding suitable recipients of donated products, Gifts In Kind became the conduit to help them find beneficiaries. Both those donating goods as well as those looking for donated goods can find each other. For congregations, particularly in the area of technology-related hardware and software, this is an excellent resource. Each company maintains its own gift guidelines but all is available and managed from Gifts In Kind’s web site. Gifts In Kind also offers a web-based web site design and hosting service called Ownspot. Note that many companies will not donate to faith-based organizations so be sure to check their policies before applying.
