Holy Trinity Episcopal Church

Greensboro. (336) 272-6149.

Holy Trinity's outreach to the homeless began in Greensboro, NC, in 1998, as a response to the congregation's work with the Servant Leadership program and a call to serve the city. They have acquired a city block of housing surrounding the church and have renovated the homes, rather than convert the properties into parking lots. The primary source of funding is through the church, but one family is currently being supported through Section 8 "Work First" funding. A portion of the units are used by "Share a Home" which provides housing for the elderly and another unit is currently being used by a Kosovo refugee family. Members of the congregation offer health care services and job placement training.
