Congregational Resource Guide
Finding the right resources for your congregation
This three-volume set, one for each lectionary year, examines the Revised Common Lectionary through the lens of “God’s life-giving intentions for the social world.” Each reading is mined for its social justice themes, making this series a helpful resource for preachers who wish to form or strengthen the congregation’s social justice conscience. The series also addresses texts for popularly observed extra liturgical days such as Martin Luther King Day, Earth Day, and Children’s Sabbath. Contributors include nearly 100 preachers, activists and scholars. This commentary is aimed at preachers and study leaders who use the Revised Common Lectionary, as well as those interested in teaching or worship resources related to social justice or the “new holy days”.
