Congregational Resource Guide
Finding the right resources for your congregation
Project Home Support Program began in 1997 with county and state funding and 12 churches providing overflow housing from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., when the county shelter is filled from the 10th to the end of the month. At one time mentoring was included, but the program now focuses on three areas with clients: budgeting, building relationships and internalized oppression. Church members attend training sessions also. Staff members work with faith communities to open their doors for shelter, meals and childcare.
