Congregational Resource Guide
Finding the right resources for your congregation
A small portion of this firm’s business is with churches of any size configuration. They have extensive experience with remodeling projects involving historic buildings. More than 70 percent of the firm’s work with churches has been in remodeling and 30 percent with new construction. While Schmidt offers a design-bid-build approach, the architects prefer negotiated bid. Schmidt’s religion studio experts listen to the client’s needs and work with the congregation to produce a quality product, designed to support the church’s ministry. This firm belongs to the Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art, and Architecture, as well as the National Catholic Education Association and Lutheran Education Association. Ninety people are employed full-time, 20 percent of them are licensed professionals.
The Indianapolis Center for Congregations’ SSGI collection contains literature detailing Schmidt Associates’ work with congregations.
