This Indianapolis, Indiana community outreach ministry began in the 1970s and today addresses those who are at risk for homelessness. Ministries include an emergency food pantry, after school programs, job assistance for teens, Friday evening Drop-In activities for teens (7:30-10:30 p.m. with recreation, Bible study and field trips) and Saturday morning AA program. All participants are encouraged to be part of a faith community. WPC is in partnership with Second Presbyterian Church (Indianapolis) with other funding sources identified as Front Porch Alliance, Indianapolis Project, Hoover Foundation, U.S. Department of Mental Health, Indianapolis Sports Corporation and the Damien Center. The church has recently acquired a neighboring property to be used specifically for housing which will be administered through the Damien Center.
