Worship Evangelism: Inviting Unbelievers Into the Presence of God

by Sally Morgenthaler. Zondervan Publishing House, 1999.

Sally Morgenthaler presents a "worship evangelism" paradigm in which public worship services are a primary means for accomplishing the church's evangelistic task. The book argues for a highly participational form of contemporary worship, in contrast to more presentational seeker services. It includes interviews with several worship leaders, as well as descriptions of most elements of worship, with particular attention to music. Special concern is given to breaking down barriers, including in-house jargon, that prevent people from deep participation in worship.
