Congregational Resource Guide
Finding the right resources for your congregation
Members of the Interfaith Conference of Great Milwaukee compiled this group study and action planning guide to assist congregations as they think about how they approach issues of social justice, and to help congregations make the transition from charitable service to working for justice through education, action, and advocacy. The authors are clergy and lay people who have used this curriculum to help congregations think about the difference between charity and justice, to consider issues of importance in their own setting, and to make a plan to take action. The guide includes handouts, activities, a case study, and examples for goal setting. The guide addresses barriers to engaging in action and activism at both the individual and the congregational level, and provides many suggestions for getting started.
