Community of Hope International

Description

Community of Hope International (COHI) equips lay people to serve in all forms of pastoral care. COHI believes that through ongoing, spiritual formation and practical lessons on caregiving (i.e. listening skills, practice pastoral visits, boundaries, grief, and maintaining confidentiality), pastoral caregivers learn to match theological insights and spiritual practices with their experiences of ministering to others and giving spiritual guidance. COHI is a resource center and training program that offers video training modules, a network of other congregations who utilize the program, and annual gatherings to support its community of caregivers.
