“One simple thing will make a big difference in the life of an at-risk child: One-on-one, positive attention from a responsible, caring adult.” Congregations looking for opportunities to serve the children in their community can partner with Kids Hope USA [KHUSA] to mentor those who need it most. KHUSA fosters partnerships between congregations and local schools to mentor at-risk elementary children at school with trained, church-sponsored volunteers for one hour every week. KHUSA’s award winning model is simple and effective: “one child, one hour, one church, one school”. Partner congregations receive training, placement and ongoing support. In addition to the mentoring program, congregations can participate through prayer partnerships and financial contributions. KHUSA is accredited by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.
