Based in Kansas, this rather comprehensive congregational consulting firm offers a large range of services. Among these are facility planning, church health analyses, church conflict and urban ministry. Living Stone Associates follows the patterns and procedures growing out of the Natural Church Development movement. This movement is based on the largest research project of its kind studying the relationship between church health and congregational growth. Living Stones uses analytical surveys and other diagnostic procedures to help congregations get a handle on health and growth issues, and make major decisions such as building and relocating. Senior Consultant Eddy Hall is co-author of the respected book, When Not to Build. Other services include congregational retreats, seminars and visitation services. Visits to the Living Stones website provide the opportunity to ask questions of the consultants. Living Stones also publishes several articles and reviews and sponsors an online bookstore. A small number of apprentices are also working with the organization. Living Stones would be a good fit for congregations seeking a careful analysis of its health and vitality and dealing with the issues discovered.
