“Make the change that changes everything,” urges James MacDonald. Church was never meant to be safe, comfortable, or predictable. Church is about God and the vertical dimension: transcendence. In this highly readable book, MacDonald urgently calls for a re-emphasis on the experience of the divine - in the personal lives of participants and in the corporate life of the church. His ministry focuses on the unapologetic proclamation of the Bible as God’s word and the worship of Jesus, God’s son. MacDonald is founding pastor of the 13,000 participant-strong Harvest Bible Chapel located in various sites with affiliate congregations. Other congregations who have experienced renewal using the book’s challenges are highlighted in the book, as well as endorsements from some of the leading evangelical clergy in the U.S. and Canada. One can’t help but be engaged with the intent and spirit of the writer, which is certainly a factor in the style of leadership presented.
