Jewish Education - Teaching Emotional Intelligence

Blog. Shmuly Yanklowitz. March 6, 2012.

Description

This website, by the Founder and President of Orthodox Jewish social justice organization Uri L’ Tzedek, Rabbi Shmuly Yanklowitz, explores the role of emotional intelligence in the development of moral and ethical intelligence in children by arguing that religious education can be weighed too heavily to the cognitive and intellectual development of the child, and that children need emotional experiences both rewarding and challenging in order for them to make the ethics they are being taught concrete.
