Description
This workbook is a resource for congregational leaders to use as they guide congregants seeking to develop a healthy relationship with money and make smart financial decisions. Built on a biblical foundation, this book is part of the comprehensive Saving Grace series that includes a DVD, participant workbook, leader guide, promotional video, and a 40-day devotional.
Developed from a Wesleyan perspective but applicable to many denominations, this curriculum is designed to help participants take control of their finances and gain financial peace by learning about the consumer culture of our world today, assessing personal habits, and creating an individualized plan.
The Clergy Workbook has a specific focus on financial issues that are unique to pastors and the financial details that come from being employed in a congregational setting as clergy.

Practical Applications
From your clergy peer group, develop a cohort to study this curriculum together, creating a safe place in which to learn and grow. Consider including respected and well-established colleagues who encourage the development of mentor relationships. Working as a group can strengthen accountability, reduce isolation and burnout, and normalize shared experiences.
Integrate lessons from the workbook into sermons, stewardship campaign messaging, and leadership training. Topics such as generosity, saving, and ethical spending can provide a background or framework for teaching stewardship as a spiritual discipline rather than simply fundraising.
