Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life (COEJL) is a program of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs. Its purpose is to promote environmental stewardship through learning, action and advocacy. Participants seek to promote energy conservation, increase sustainability and promote environmental awareness within the Jewish community. It also works on behalf of the Jewish community to be a voice with similar organizations to promote earth care issues. Several resources are available through the website. There is a link to advocacy and policy issues with publications and resources. Jewish texts and Torah references provide opportunities to link environmental issues with historic documents. Visitors will find an invitation to join the Jewish Energy Covenant Campaign. There is also a link to Jewish life and programs which seek to link greening communities in the Jewish tradition and provide a network of those committed to living environmentally conscious lives. In addition, there is a list of partner organizations and their available resources. The website is readily accessible and easy to navigate.
