Mr. Stevens’ real life experiences serve the content of this book well. Don’t read this book for leadership theory or for results from a research project. Instead, read this book if you are looking for practical principles that will strengthen your response to those all too real dilemmas that occur every week. The chapters are short, which means that you can read about a particular point in one setting. And, many of the chapters go beyond cliché content about leadership. You will read why it’s “messy when you work with your friends.” You will learn how hard it is to train character and why there is limited value to a résumé. The book is written from an evangelical Christian worldview that strengthens the content.
