The Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at IUPUI is the first school of Philanthropy in the world. It is also home to the Lake Institute of Faith & Giving-an institute as unique as the school of which it is part. The Lake Institute’s mission “is to foster a greater understanding of the ways in which faith both inspires and informs giving by providing knowledge, education, and training.” Through the Institute, clergy and laity from all faith traditions have the opportunity to learn the integral connection between spirituality and liberality. Faith-based organizations can receive customized training and leaders can attend seminars to learn about giving and how to create cultures of generosity. An Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising is also available through the Lake Institute. This one-of-a-kind academic institution is an outstanding resource for rabbis, clergy and lay leaders who desire to learn and lead in the arena of philanthropy within a religious context.
