Robert K. Greenleaf said that “The servant leader is servant first… It begins with the natural feeling that one wants to . . . serve first.” Greenleaf’s philosophy continues to influence religious and secular leaders through the Robert K. Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership. This international organization promotes and teaches the principles and practices of servant leadership. To do that, the Center sponsors a conference, publishes resources, and offers training. An e-newsletter, podcasts, and blog posts are free. The blog and the podcasts give profiles of servant leaders and are for beginners and experts. The blog and podcasts also discuss servant leadership from specific angles, such as the relationship between servant leadership and marketing. Training events include the Greenleaf Academy and a variety of workshops. The Academy training is long-distance. Members receive discounts on products and services. This secular organization is appropriate for all those who seek transformation of their leadership style.
