Since 1942, the Rural Home Missionary Association’s (RHMA) goal has been to plant and strengthen churches in small-town America. RHMA accomplishes this through various educational and supportive activities. Classes and certification in small town ministry are available through the “Town and Country Training” program. RHMA also sponsors one-day seminars and an annual conference for small town pastors. The resource section on the website has articles on youth ministry and other topics, such as “Four Core Values of Small-Town Ministry” and “Strong Worship on a Weak Budget.” Other resources include a booklist of suggested readings and a free, church health assessment tool. Recordings from recent conferences and other publications are available for a fee. This resource is most suited for prospective and current small town Christian pastors.
