Coordinated by editors M. Sydney Park of Beeson Divinity School, Soong-Chan Rah from North Park Theological Seminary, and Al Tizon of Palmer Theological Seminary, this books involves contributions from fourteen additional pastors and teachers who explore opportunities for ministry in the Asian North American Christian community. Three chapters in the first section, “From Generation to Generation,” explore the gap between first generation Asian immigrants and second and third generation Asian-Americans and consider the challenges this poses for churches. “Ministry Issues,” Part Two, addresses themes of global mission, lay leadership, pastoral formation, public life, and women in ministry. Besides Park, Rah, and Tizon, contributors include Peter Cha, John Chung, Ken Uyeda Fong, Mitchell Kim, Sam Kim, David Lee, Biak Mang, Grace May, Nancy Sugikawa, Gideon Tsang, Tim Tseng, Jonathan Wu, Greg Yee, and Peter Yi. These ethnically and generationally diverse leaders, involved in academia and congregations, offer practical resources and theological thought for church ministry with any ethnic group.
